Everything you need to know about Toronto’s Rosé Picnic

Last Saturday, the grounds of the luxurious Hotel X in Toronto was the setting for the annual Rose Picnic. Bottles of wine, Instagram instalments and lots of sponsors made this event a millennial wine lover’s paradise.

This event was advertised as a fun picnic with a pink and white dress code with different rose options for sale. With tickets starting at $40 and going well over $2000 for a VIP group option, definitely look for early bird deals or weekend sales early in the Summer. For our general admission tickets – we couldn’t spend $2000 on a VIP table and some wine, maybe next year (but probably not) – we got admission, a complementary rosé sangria, wine glass and picnic blanket. The line was insanely long by 12pm so arrive early if you want that blanket, it’s so adorable but only guaranteed for the first 1500 entrants.

The event also promised that it would go on rain or shine and it definitely kept that promise. Despite two sudden downpours followed by scorching heat, the event continued on with a DJ that kept the crowd entertained throughout.

The event hosted loads of sponsors with amazing booths and truly made the ticket price (and wine prices) worth it! Some of our favourites included:

Beefeater Gin and Jacob’s Creek offered a complementary pink sangria to all guests. This mixture of pink gin, pink moscato, club soda and fruit will definitely a future recipe so stay tuned!

Palm Bay set up a booth to sell their new Rosé coolers and offered complementary popcorn with a purchase!

Kiss Cosmetics set up a station and provided nails and lashes with complementary lash applications for everyone interested.

The girls at Bumble had the best swag and offered a drink ticket if you downloaded the app and swiped a few times. Definitely visit Bumble whenever there’s an event booth!

Food & Wine

Haagen-Dazs provided complementary ice cream bars. Their new cookie dough and double cookies selections were amazing, and much needed when the sun finally came out. 100% recommend the cookie dough!

Sliders, fries and tacos were available for sale and of course lots of rosé and wine options! You also had the option of pre-ordering platters.
